and guess what?? santarina in the form of mommy bought it for me..

isn’t it so pretty?? its super sporty yet casual and can also be worn when i go to clinical school.. most importantly? its a sport shoe than i can run in so i can go a little later for class.. hehe.. just kidding mommy..
also, just wanted to say goodbye to 2007 where there were many great memories and welcome in 2008 with my loving family and friends..
Blessed Christmas to all (as usual i’m late with my blogging - sigh, new year’s resolution??)
like many Christmasses past, this Christmas is very eventful
there were 2 special events that makes this Christmas special..
First:
we had gift exchange within M1/06 where we actually pick the names of our receipents before buying the presents which is a very good idea compared to just buying something and taking draws to see who gets what.. i had a great time figuring out what to buy before settling on my present which turns out to be a very common present indeed.. Water Tumblers!!
Second:
went for christmas BBQ at my cousin’s new house.. so nice place with shinny marble flooring, last minute hung curtains, super comfy recliners and a box of sweet temptations on the table.. but most importantly, my entire family on mum’s side is there.. all the aunts and uncle brought their “signature” teochew dishes so needless to say, my tummy was very happy.. haha.. there were chai kueh, ikan panggang sambal, teochew meeteow and the works.. we also celebrated my grandma’s erm…. 80+? birthday..
third:
had christmas eve dinner with Aunt Grace (Jenlye’s aunt) and her family.. it was a nerve wrecking experience but nonetheless a very special one.. thanks aunt grace for cooking such a wonderful christmas dinner.. (must teach me someday k?? :D) and thanks eva for putting the cute menu on the table.. but most of all, thanks for making me feel welcomed.. oh ya, on that note, i wanna spank jenlye for not telling me that there was going to be a gift exchange so i cluelessly turned up empty handed!! so paiseh!!
anyways, Blessed christmas to all and a very happy new year!!
.. we often take for granted not knowing how important is it to us..
like how we take for granted that we are able to breathe with the lungs God gave us, oblivious to the suffering of patients who as to fight for every breath..
like how we take for granted that we are able to relieve ourselves while others around us depend on dialysis machines to do it for them..
like how we often grumble when nature’s call comes at the wrong time, but some others are unable to answer its call..
like how we are picky over food while our brothers and sisters are desperate for every single morsel to feed their bodies..
like how we drag our feet to lectures while others just want a chance to read and write..
like how we often get distracted listening to God’s teaching while others are not fortunate enough to have the opportunity to listen..
like how we go out for hours not knowing how worried our parents may be..
somethings that may seem so insignificant may have a huge impact on our lives once its taken away from us.. if only we took the time to appreciate it for all its worth we will understand how much more valuable it is than all the riches the world has to offer.. then only have we really lived!!
