Some time ago, me and jen were feeling adventurous hence we jumped on a train and were on our way to Ipoh!! many thanks to Hon Keong who is our gracious host and tour guide =D
if you are planning to see a post with the famous ipoh food such as chicken rice and dimsum, this is not the place.. haha cos we got to try new stuff thanks to HK..
Sun Hing Loong: famous yam cha place famous for their ipoh white coffee served with warm toast spread generously with kaya and butter topped with half boiled eggs..

also, there were some vendors just outside selling ipoh version of chee cheong fun.. not bad..
next was dinner at Restoran Bukit Tambun..
this shop had the best yam basket i ever tasted and i will be back for more..
HK’s parents ordered this escargot look alike.. the waitress told us to remove the blackish part (intestines) before eating.. hmm.. not my kinda thing =P

there were more things we ate..
chee cheong fun, duck noodle, fried kuey teow, crispy popiah, red bean ice blended, rojak buah, honey roast chicken at Menglembu..

funny mountain yong tofu with soya milk, sang mee, and chicken rice, roast duck, char siew and siew yoke in town..
as if that wasn’t enough.. we bought so much goodies back home.. phong pneah, muruku, kacang putih, egg tarts, kaya puff, salt baked chicken, guava.. wow!! if only you seen how much we bought.. or rather Jenlye bought ahaha.. he had to borrow a bag from HK!! ahaha..

first time my mum complained that there was too much kaya inside.. *lol*
oh, we also managed to go to this phong pneah factory in gunung rapat!! *yums*
made the traditional way using coconut husks..
and once ready left to cool before packing and then sent off to various shops..

after they got off from hospital, they came find me and we went to cook a yummy dinner!!

aaahh.. so full!!
