My Prof once said, there is never a right time to give up in resuscitation of a patient..

In a child, cos nobody likes to see their children go before them

In an adolescent, as they have their whole lives ahead of them,

In a young adult, because they just began their career and found love,

In a middle age person, they have young children depending on them,

In a person about to retire, cos they are just getting the chance to sit back and enjoy life,

In an elderly, they now have grandchildren..

Bottom line, don’t give up too soon…

DSCN4635A warm meal on a cold day, comfort food at its best!!

ingredients: (serves 1)

1/2 cube Knorr tomyam stock

700ml water (give or take)

2 strips chicken breasts

1 potato cut into wedges

1 tomato cut into wedges

1 small carrot cut coarsly

2 pieces long beans

3/4 yellow onion

1 stick lemon grass smashed

1 thumb size ginger sliced

bring ingredients to boil until tender, add salt to taste..

serve HOT with rice, or without for an even healthier meal!!

best part is, no OIL needed XD

optional:

squid, prawns, baby corn, mushrooms, GET CREATIVE!!

apart from Marijuana you say??

the last couple of days, i spent precious hours watching this two hillarious dudes who are so ridiculous and stupid but at the same time very adorable and lovable.. both part 1 & 2 (and hopefully the coming part 3) was worth every second spent apart from my Dhingra..

this story revolves around best friends Harold and Kumar with their adventures or you can call it MIS-adventures!! Harold is a Korean who is quite an OCD while Kumar is an Indian who is very (and i repeat VERY laid back) but brilliant!! the one thing they share in common is their love for marijuana..

Part 1: Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. this movie depicts the 2 friends trying to get to this burger joint White castle after salivating over the burgers on a Tv ad.. many things happen along the way but nothing could waver their determination..

harold-kumar-2-posterPart 2: Harold and Kumar escape from Guantanamo Bay. inthis movie, Harold and Kumar spontaneously took a flight to amsterdam to look for Maria, Harold’s dream girl after the two share a passionate kiss in their apartment lift. things took a turn for the worst when kumar was suspected to be a terrorist as he tried to smoke weed on the flight there. the duo were promotly arrested and thrown into jail which they quickly broke out of, making their journey to amsterdam with the clothes on their back and labelled fugitives..

both movies were hillarious!! and i’m so so so looking forward to the next installment..

welcome my dear newest member of my shoe collection.. after stalking Vincci for quite some time, finally they came up with a new beauty.. real comfy too!!

today i finally went to bring this darling home.. the first salesman told me that they were out of Green in my size!! i was like “NOoooo!!!” (monolog dalaman of course).. so i asked if they have it at other outlets.. another saleslady was so helpful and helped me check plus offered to transfer it to seremban at no extra charge.. but setback is have to wait for 2 agonising weeks!! but have to say yes.. so i asked to try size just to confirm..

well, whadya know!! the salesman overlooked a pair of this Green beauty!! whee..

I know, this show is not in cinema yet.. pssstt.. don’t tell anyone i downloaded it..

from the beginning to the end, this show was good.. although a little unrealistic at times but it made a good watch.. susie_salmon

Poor Susie was murdered at the tender age of 14 by a neighbour and her family never found her body..her murderer kept it in a safe in his basement and sits in front of it everyday running memories of her in his head.. sick huh??

kind hearted susie who never hated anyone truly hated this man for because of him, she never got to go on that first date with Jay (a cute guy from school) and didn’t get her first kiss..

Naturally, her family was traumatised and deeply saddenned by her sudden passing and this movie captures how each family member try to come to terms with her death in their own way..

Welcoming 2010

The days leading up to 2010 has been hectic but extremely fun!! from family time, to grabbing hot deals off racks, slipping into new shoes, and satisfyingly good food, Xan-di is a very happy girl!!

12/12/09: A few days before christmas, the gang had a christmas dinner at uncle’s place.. lots of good food and hearty laughter made us deliriously manic XD i contributed this sinfully sweet satisfying dessert, caramel custard..

20/12/09: had a little too much spare minutes on my tubby fingers, and attempted to create master chef g-wong’s delicious bread and butter pudding.. as expected, a few things were modified, vanilla pods being replaced by vanilla essence and baileys’ being replaced by malt.. overall, the Ang’s still demanded a second attempt.. success??

22/12/09: tong yuen day.. despite being a festival where families came together, i spent mine in sban.. but mum made me tong yuen the day before *hearts*DSCN4431

25/12/09: merry christmas!! dinner at TJ haus was a delight as always.. but we geniouses only realised we forgot to order our favourite dish once we finished.. but of course, there’s room for more *wink* no pictures though cos it evaporated!! and of course, my favourite cheese cake *yums*DSCN4454

27/12/09: shopping trip to MV.. with the not-so-hidden agenda to revisit Belanga.. needless to say the food is so sinfully good.. my favourites, roti jala kari ayam and nasi dagang ikan tongkol..

DSCN4463this is also where i fell in love real bad with my cousin’s DSLR.. despite weighing a tonne *flexesbiceps* and a few failed shots, i felt so pro clicking away.. and my effort paid off when some of the shots i took were *if i must say myself* were beautiful!! Dals, faster upload the photos!!

31/12/09: the last day of 2009, we decided to go shopping for CNY.. not wanting to spend the day jamming with other people, we went very early and left before the fireworks started.. now is that genius or is that genius?? :P bought so many stuff (blame it on the crazy sales) and of couse it included shoes…………. ’nuff said.

1/1/10: A year older (and hopefully more mature).totally forgot that its a new year until my brother exclaimed that he’s gonna take his first POO for the year..!!
