One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport.

We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us.

My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us.

My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly.

So I asked, ‘Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!’

This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, ‘The Law of the Garbage Truck.’

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment.

As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they’ll dump it on you. Don’t take it personally.

Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don’t take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day.

Life’s too short to wake up in the morning with regrets,

So … Love the people who treat you right.

Pray for the ones who don’t.

Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!

Yesterday, I went down to Batu Pahat with a few friends to look for a place to stay during our final (YES, FINAL!!) 6 months of medical school.. lo and behold, batu pahat is actually more happening than seremban!!

the toilet even has a bathtub!! mind you, the yellow stains are the result of age.. its pretty clean though..

little conference on the landing.. good thing the staircase doesn’t have holes.. hate those!!

in short, i’m really looking forward to staying there!! now, to get through EOS 9.. *shiver*

Finally a more formal looking bag to match my uni clothes.. time for my trusty pink NIKE backpack to retire..

Am loving it!!

today was a great day.. albeit there were exams in the morning but nevertheless one of the best days of my life (no it was not because the exams were a piece of cake)

my parent’s advise on how nothing comes easy were echoing in my mind as i saw my results of previous exam. they could have never been more right. ever since i knew the results were being released, i was contemplating on whether to take it immediately (which required me to drive all the way to sban) or to wait till after exams. part of me wanted to know, but an equal part of me wanted to live in blissful ignorance.. thanks parents for volunteering to drive me..

why?? cos my “source” told me that in this exam, only 3 people out of 20 in my group passed..

i guess you know now the reason for my wide smile, and the bounce in my step today. this post is not meant to brag but just a memory of my personal satisfaction as this paper happens to be an Obstetric paper which i so adamantly want to persue in the future despite warnings from others. undoubtedly, it as a sign.
